HOW TO APPLY FOR A GRANT.
The following describes features of a successful application for an Op Shop grant.
The funds allocated, will
Assist in the provision of community development projects in the area of
community services, or
sport and recreation or
arts and culture or
Assist with the funding and implementation of major community projects or to assist with funding for students in need
Provide funding for charitable purposes, such payments to be limited to 15% of the annual net profit of the incorporated body in the year of payment.
The Grants system aims to assist non-profit community groups and organisations that are interested in and working toward the enhancements and well being of the residents of Kendall and district. Each year Community groups can apply for funds of up to $30,000.
In addition funds are directed to one-off projects and sponsorships, and to assist with funding for students in need
In accordance with the Op Shop's constitution, 15% of annual net profits are donated to local and overseas charities.
THE PROCESS.
1. Collect an application form from the Op Shop or download and print from the website during the period the forms are available. These are the only ways the application forms can be obtained. For 2025 period the forms are available from 9am on 3rd February to 4pm on 14th March
2. Complete the form and return it to the Op Shop by the due date for applications. (14th March)
3. All applications are considered by the Op Shop Grants Sub Committee, and all applicants will be notified of the success or otherwise of their application.
4. Successful applicants are presented with their funds at a special Grants Ceremony at the Kendall Services Club after all applicants have been advised or their success or otherwise. Date of ceremony will be communicated to all successful applicants and to the General Public.
